Hello, March!

Happy March, Reader!

I hope so far this month you're having as much fun as my girl G here, who carries sunshine with her wherever she goes. She's obsessed with Taylor Swift right now (I mean, aren't we all?) and did an impromptu performance of Shake It Off the other night before bed that might be my favorite thing ever that I've captured on video. If you know the song, watch the GIF at the top here and picture her saying "oh my god, I just gotta shake it". I might have a future star on my hands!

Watch out T Swift... G Swift is coming for you. Haha.

Anyway. Happy March! Spring is coming!

This beginning-of-the-month email is a few days later than usual because I sent out several emails last week about my 5-day Art For Self-Care Challenge and such and didn't want to bombard your inbox.

I wrapped up my free challenge today with a super fun live after-party on Zoom, and I was reminded yet again how impactful art and creativity are. It really makes a difference to sit down, even just for a few minutes, to doodle or paint or just make something.... or to look – like, really look – at art that inspires you and to absorb its beauty and wonder into your being. And for some reason, it's really easy to forget that and to put it so often at the bottom of the list of things to do. Hmmmm.

I'm leading a 3-hour live painting workshop online next weekend, on Saturday March 16th, where we'll be tuning in to our inner voices, listening for messages and mantras, and turning those words into paintings.

If that sounds fun and fulfilling, come join me! It's only $37, and it's gonna be 3 soulful hours with me and a group of creative kindred spirits, painting and talking and connecting together. I can't wait!

You don't have to be a skilled artist; beginners are totally welcome.

>> You can learn more right here. <<

At the end of the workshop you'll walk away with a powerful, personal, symbolic masterpiece that will carry the workshop's energy into your daily life.

That's all for today, my friend.

Sending love and rainbows and creative dreams your way....

With love –

Hi Reader! I've spent the last couple of days doing a product photoshoot with my wonderful assistant Emily in preparation for the opening of my holiday shop on November 12th, and oh my goshhhhh I'm so excited to show you everything!! The calendar photo above is my FAVE, but I also can't resist showing you one more: Ornaments!! I mean honestly. Could this be any cuter? What's most interesting to me about these photos is that historically I've always thought of myself as being a "bad...

Hi Reader, and happy October! This might be my favorite month of all the months. I love when summer turns to fall. I love the cozy weather, and the sweaters, and the extra blankets on the bed, and the leaves and the light changing, and the pumpkin everything, everywhere... There's something so inspiring about this time of year! Do you feel the same way? The painting above is a bit of a nod to the spookiness of this season, with all those little white ghosts floating above the trees, in a...

Hi Reader, I'm so excited to share with you that my Pattern Camp course is happening again next weekend, October 5 & 6, and registration is now officially open! 🎉 >> Get all the details right here << I taught a free workshop yesterday called Fall in Love with Illustrator, because that's exactly what happened to me when I taught myself how to use Illustrator and to design patterns. It was slow-going and frustrating for me for a long time, teaching myself how to use Adobe Illustrator back in...
